5 Years of Memories
While on vacation I picked up a one line a day memory book. Each page allows me space to write down one or two sentences for what happened that date for five years in a row. I am really excited about this opportunity as so much can change in just five years.
For example, the date I purchased my new book was on July 19th, 2010. On that same date in 2003 I was married. I am now divorced though and was on vacation with my current sweetie pie when I picked up this book. Thus, that’s why I am so excited about this new book. I’ll be able to see on one page what happened the year prior, and at the end of this journey, five years prior.
Life is forever changing and as I age I value those changes and want to remember them as they are all building blocks for who I am at this very moment. I am no longer a happy go lucky free spirit who listens to 80’s rock and roll and believes in true love. No, currently I am a much harder woman who has seen her fair share of heartache and no longer believes in true love. I do thankfully have a much wider range of musical interests and I find lyrics and the written word can speak to me more honestly than they ever have in my life.
So I am excited about this new journey I am on of writing down a sentence a day and look forward to seeing where the next five years take me. Who knows, by then, I might even believe in love again.
